How the Ordering Process Works
Last updated: 1 August 2026
1. Overview
This page explains the general steps involved when submitting an order through HappyMeds.
The exact process may vary depending on:
- The product selected.
- Prescription requirements.
- Information supplied by the customer.
- Identity or payment checks.
- Product availability.
- Clinical suitability.
- Delivery arrangements.
Submitting an order or making payment does not automatically guarantee approval, acceptance, supply or dispatch.
2. Step 1: Review the Product Information
Before selecting a product, read:
- Product name and strength.
- Main product information.
- Safety warnings.
- Side effects.
- Interaction information.
- Delivery information.
- Refund and cancellation terms.
- Any prescription or review requirements.
Do not submit a request for a medicine unless you understand the main warnings and intended use.
3. Step 2: Select an Available Option
You may be able to select:
- Product.
- Strength.
- Tablet quantity.
- Delivery method.
- Other available options.
The option selected represents a customer request.
The selected strength or quantity may be reduced, changed, limited or declined following review.
4. Step 3: Create an Account or Provide Your Details
You may be required to provide:
- Full name.
- Date of birth.
- Email address.
- Telephone number.
- Billing address.
- Delivery address.
- Account password.
- Other identity or contact information.
Information must be complete, accurate and belong to the person making the request.
5. Step 4: Provide Required Health or Prescription Information
Where applicable, you may be asked to provide information about:
- Symptoms.
- Medical history.
- Current medicines.
- Allergies.
- Previous treatment.
- Previous prescriptions.
- Alcohol or substance use.
- Other information relevant to the request.
You must not provide false or incomplete information.
The requested medicine cannot be safely assessed where important information is withheld.
6. Step 5: Review Your Basket
Before continuing, check:
- Product name.
- Strength.
- Quantity.
- Price.
- Delivery charge.
- Billing address.
- Delivery address.
- Email address.
- Telephone number.
Correct any error before submitting the order.
Products placed in a basket are not reserved.
7. Step 6: Submit Payment
Payment may be authorised when the order is submitted.
Payment authorisation means only that the payment method has been accepted or reserved.
It does not mean:
- A prescription has been issued.
- Clinical approval has been completed.
- The order has been finally accepted.
- The requested quantity has been approved.
- The product has been dispatched.
If an order is subsequently declined before dispatch, any eligible payment will be handled under the Refund Policy.
8. Step 7: Order-Received Confirmation
After successful submission, you may see an order-received page and receive an email.
The confirmation may display:
- Order number.
- Order date.
- Products requested.
- Quantity requested.
- Payment method.
- Billing details.
- Delivery details.
- Current order status.
Keep the order number for future communication.
An order-received page or email confirms that the website has received the request. It does not guarantee approval or dispatch.
9. What the Order-Received Status Means
“Order received” normally means:
- Your request has entered the system.
- The submitted details have been recorded.
- Payment may have been authorised or received.
- Further checks may still be required.
It does not mean:
- The medicine has been approved.
- The order is ready for dispatch.
- Delivery has started.
- The selected quantity is guaranteed.
10. Step 8: Verification
An order may be checked for:
- Identity.
- Age.
- Billing and delivery address.
- Payment ownership.
- Duplicate accounts.
- Previous orders.
- Unusual quantity or ordering patterns.
- Fraud or security concerns.
You may be contacted for further evidence.
Processing may be delayed until the requested information has been received.
11. Step 9: Prescription or Clinical Review
Where a prescription or clinical assessment is required, the information provided may be reviewed by an appropriately qualified prescriber.
The reviewer may:
- Approve the request.
- Ask further questions.
- Request a telephone or video consultation.
- Request evidence or additional information.
- Approve a different strength or quantity.
- Recommend another treatment or assessment.
- Decline the request.
Clinical approval cannot be guaranteed or purchased.
12. Requests for Further Information
Where further information is needed, you may receive a message by:
- Email.
- Telephone.
- Secure account message.
- Another available communication method.
Respond accurately and promptly.
The order may be cancelled where:
- You do not respond.
- Information cannot be verified.
- The answers are incomplete.
- The request cannot be assessed safely.
13. Step 10: Order Decision
Possible outcomes include:
Approved
The request has passed the required review and can move to the next processing stage.
Information required
Additional information is needed before a decision can be made.
On hold
The order is temporarily paused while information, payment, stock or verification is checked.
Modified
The requested strength or quantity has been adjusted.
Declined
The request cannot proceed.
Cancelled
The order has been stopped before dispatch.
Refunded
An approved refund has been submitted to the original payment method.
14. Reasons an Order May Be Declined or Cancelled
An order may be declined or cancelled where:
- The product is unavailable.
- Payment cannot be authorised.
- Identity or age cannot be verified.
- The requested medicine is unsuitable.
- The selected strength or quantity cannot be approved.
- Information is incomplete or inconsistent.
- There is concern about an interaction or medical condition.
- Early or repeated ordering raises a safety concern.
- Multiple accounts appear to be connected.
- Resale, diversion or misuse is suspected.
- Delivery cannot safely be arranged.
- A legal or professional requirement has not been met.
15. Step 11: Preparation and Dispatch
After the required approval and checks have been completed, the order may be prepared for dispatch.
When dispatched, you may receive:
- Dispatch confirmation.
- Courier name.
- Tracking number.
- Tracking link.
- Estimated delivery information.
Delivery estimates begin after dispatch, not when the order is first placed.
16. Discreet Packaging
Orders are normally sent in plain and secure outer packaging.
The outer packaging will not normally identify the medicine inside.
Courier labels, recipient details and legally required delivery information may still be displayed.
17. Step 12: Delivery
Delivery may require:
- A signature.
- Proof of identity.
- Age verification.
- Collection from a designated location.
Monitor the tracking information and make appropriate arrangements to receive the parcel.
Full delivery conditions are available on the Delivery Information page.
18. Missing, Damaged or Incorrect Orders
Check the parcel promptly after delivery.
Do not use a product if:
- It does not match the order.
- The packaging is open.
- The seal is broken.
- It appears damaged or contaminated.
- There are signs of tampering.
Contact help@happymeds.uk and include:
- Order number.
- Description of the problem.
- Photographs of the parcel and product.
- Delivery and tracking information.
Keep all packaging until instructions have been provided.
19. Changing or Cancelling an Order
Contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel an order.
A change or cancellation may be possible before the order has been:
- Approved.
- Prepared.
- Packed.
- Dispatched.
We cannot guarantee changes once processing has started.
Medicine cannot normally be returned for a change-of-mind refund after dispatch.
20. Repeat Orders
A repeat order is treated as a new request.
Previous approval does not guarantee future approval.
Repeat requests may require:
- Updated health information.
- New identity or payment checks.
- Review of previous order dates and quantities.
- Further communication.
- A new prescription or clinical decision.
21. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing truthful information.
- Checking the order before submission.
- Monitoring messages and tracking.
- Responding to requests for information.
- Following medicine instructions.
- Receiving and storing the parcel safely.
- Never sharing or reselling medicine.
- Reporting damaged or incorrect products.
22. Medical Emergencies
The ordering service is not suitable for emergencies.
